St John’s Playgroup

Meets from 10.00am to noon on Mondays during term time. A welcoming, encouraging and active time for Mums and little ones 0 to school age, in a friendly, caring Christian environment. Held in the big hall. Click here to see some pictures of our playgroup setting playgroup pictures.

Girl’s Friendly Society (GFS): Teddybears and Juniors

Teddybears and Juniors meet at the big hall during term time. The program includes many activities, craft, practical skills and teaching with a focus on helping girls to grow in their Christian development and gain a sense of community. With trained and dedicated leaders, the girls find the sessions fun and encouraging.

Teddybears (4 to 7 year olds) From 3.30 to 5.00pm on Fridays.

Juniors (8 to 12 year olds) From 6.00 to 8.00pm on Tuesdays.

Kid’s Plus (K to year 6)

St John’s Beecroft would love to welcome you to our Friday night ministry program for K-6 kids.

Location: Kids Plus meets in the hall at St John’s Beecroft Anglican Church, on the corner of Beecroft Road and Chapman Avenue Beecroft.

Program: The program kicks off at 6pm and runs until 7.30pm. We start each night with some group activities before splitting off into boys and girls groups. We regroup at the end for supper. Please be prompt when dropping off and picking up kids.

Cost: Kids Plus is free. However, if you can afford a $3 donation this will help cover supper and other running costs. Some families find it easier to make a $20 donation for the term.

Safety: Kids Plus leaders are trained in child protection. All Kids Plus activities are run on-site at St John’s, unless otherwise advertised.

Scripture in Schools

Each week during school term time, a dedicated team of Scripture Teachers from our church are able to spend time with students at Cheltenham Girls High School and Beecroft Public School. Using material adapted from a wide range of sources, pupils are encouraged and challenged to grow in their knowledge and faith and to seek answers to important life questions. We are grateful and delighted to be able to part of this activity.
